BIOGRAPHY

Born 1955 in Vienna, Austria.

Soprano at the Vienna Boy's Choir.
Studied trumpet at the University of Music and Drama Vienna
Studied history of arts at the University of Vienna,
Ph. D. : „Der Photograph Ernst Haas 1921-1986“
Study visits (2 times half a year) in New York City at Ernst Haas Studio and darkroom assistant at Todd Watts, Motel Fine Arts, working on photographs of Berenice Abbott and Lynne Cohen.
The photographic work started with highly praised Conceptual Art in the 70ies, followed by sensitive portraits of the surrounding landscapes as well as mostly abstract glimpses of Vienna, day and night.
Since 1971 active in collecting photographs with different focuses, as well as curator of several exhibitions and publisher of catalogues and illustrated books.
His work is represented in public collections such as The ALBERTINA Museum Vienna as well as in private collections in Europe and the U.S.
